Alison Crooks
Project Director
Alison joined the company in 2008, building on her extensive career with a major international interdisciplinary consultancy. The EIA, waste planning and environmental permitting services provided by Integrated Skills are directed by Alison. She is responsible for managing and delivering environmental and waste services to private and public sector clients. Her Project Director role includes responsibility for coordinating with NGO and government organisations, as well as teams of specialist consultants such as ecologists, hydrogeologists and engineers. Alison is an Associate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), an expert on waste facility permitting, and also advises on a range of related issues. Her extensive experience in waste management consultancy covers planning and permitting, as well as market research, environmental monitoring and contaminated land investigations. She is also adept at managing stakeholder and community inputs to waste and environmental issues, through effective engagement. Adopting a technically robust and also pragmatic approach to her work, Alison retains a loyal client base, with clients appreciating her approach to project delivery. This is demonstrated by her secondment to manage a client company’s technical department. The secondment was for major waste management contractor, responsible for environmental regulation, landfill site monitoring, transfer stations, composting facilities and Materials Recovery Facilities. As part of the International consultancy team, Alison continues to apply her expertise. Her high technical standards gained from assisting clients in compliance with EU legislation bring benefits to clients in the UK and overseas.

Dr Robert Holmes
Associate
Robert is an environmental consultant with 35 years professional industrial experience. Robert’s academic background is in geology and he has a PhD in geochemistry and post-graduate qualifications including public health and environmental control. He joined Integrated Skills as an associate in 2001 bringing skills and experience in the environmental and waste management fields. Robert’s experience includes 10 years working for a large UK waste contractor, with responsibility for ensuring monitoring and evaluation of the environmental impact of the company’s active and restored landfill sites, waste incineration and treatment facilities. Robert has extensive experience of environmental site assessments and audits in over 20 countries. These include environmental compliance and due diligence audits and certification audits to ISO14001. He is regularly included in EHS teams conducting environmental, health & safety compliance assurance audits for US multinationals. Robert is registered with International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) as an environmental management systems (EMS) principal auditor and has designed and implemented EMS for ISO14001:2004 certification. Robert has considerable lead audit experience in environmental due diligence and legislative compliance. Robert is familiar with pre-acquisition Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment processes and has been lead auditor in many pre-acquisition Phase I environmental site assessments/audits in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Robert is registered as a Principal Environmental Auditor with the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).

Rachel Wildblood
Associate
Rachel joined Integrated Skill’s International team after several years in Asia and Africa, working for clients as varied as development banks, an oil company and UN organisations. She is responsible developing international business as well as being a team member for projects, working in country to ensure projects are implemented and delivered. Rachel’s experience lies in both environmental management and solid waste management. Her track record also includes projects focusing on community engagement and stakeholder consultations. She often combines these related subjects in her international project work, which includes urban and rural projects in the development assistance sector, as well as private sector client projects. Rachel speaks reasonable Khmer. The skills Rachel offers are able to be applied to projects needing a technical solution as well as those dealing with strategic or policy concerns and projects requiring people focused outcomes. Examples of this can be seen in Rachel’s training delivery track record which ranges from Environmental Assessment techniques to community engagement in the public sector and mentoring junior waste specialists in Haiti. Rachel is currently working to explore further opportunities for Integrated Skills in both the private and development assistance sectors for donors such as the Asian Development Bank.

Margaret Casey
Associate
Margaret is an environmental scientist with over 20 years’ experience of waste management, brownfield site assessment, environmental auditing and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) gained with three large consultancy practices. She joined Integrated Skills as an associate in 2003. Margaret has substantial experience in the investigation, risk assessment and remediation design of contaminated land sites and has a wide knowledge of waste management licensing issues. She also has extensive experience in environmental due diligence in the public utilities, transport and power industry sectors and has worked on a number of EIAs, predominantly in the natural resources sector. Margaret’s international experience has included an environmental due diligence in South America in the public utilities sector and assessing waste management issues as part of an EIA in Qatar.

Keiron Finney
Associate
Keiron Finney is an environmental chemist with twenty seven years experience of environmental analysis, contaminated land investigation, evaluation and remediation. His skills and experiences include Asbestos related projects, Waste Regulation, Air Pollution Control, Contaminated Land, Health and Safety practice, contract management/compliance supervision and reuse of waste soils. Keiron is a specialist in Landfill gas, reducing carbon emissions from operational, closed and historical landfill sites. He is also a Qualified Person (QP) in accordance with the CLaire Re-use of soils protocol.
